For Waiting To Find The Perfect Moment To Fire Back A Comment At Dick Cheney

Clever Vladimir is apparently a bit of a Russian elephant. He remembers well, especially a disservice to his treasured reputation as a suspect democrat.

Way back in May Dick Cheney, you will remember, was touring former Eastern Bloc nations and made a few undiplomatic comments about Vlad and his retro efforts to get what is perhaps an overly firm grip on the Russian economy and Russian society in general.

Evading comment at the time, Vladimir waited until just before the G-8 Summit in St. Petersburg to fire back with what, we vainly hope, will be the world’s last Dick, The Bird Blaster, joke.

When asked what he thought of Mr. Cheney’s remarks that he “unfairly and improperly restricted the rights” of Russia’s people and “Other actions by the Russian government have been counterproductive and could begin to affect relations with other countries,” Mr. Putin slipped in his long postponed bon mot: “I think your Vice President’s expression there is like his bad shot on his hunting trip.”

Watch this guy. He waits but when he leaps, his catlike squeal and claws are out like a pet you wish you never bought.
