Heavy Rain Washes New England Back To Merrie Old England

We regret to inform you that due to inclement weather, New England has floated away from the rest of the United States and is now bobbing its way back to Merrie Old England.

The patriots on board the flotilla would have preferred to remain part of America. As New Englanders, they remember such things as the ride of Paul Revere and the battle of Lexington and Concord.

The English, on the other hand, are delighted with the expected arrival of quite a few of the original 13 colonies. They never imagined, when they lost them, that they’d get them back in such a fashion. They were especially anticipating the arrival of such historic artifacts as Plymouth Rock.

What they don’t anticipate is that the New Englanders will, with their usual rough and ready resourcefulness, find a way to sail to the New World once again, and this time they may be able to bring Merrie Old England along for the ride.
