BIOFUEL MAKES CARS MAKE FUNNY SOUNDS

Americans may soon be able to enjoy the road more than they expect. 

Rumor has it that biofuel makes cars produce a sound remarkably similar to flatulence.

Experts maintain that the sonic peculiarity should not prove excessively disturbing in less populous areas, but they are withholding judgment about the effect in major cities. There is some concern that the vaunted decrease in air pollution may be vitiated by the dramatic rise in noise pollution.

Congress, ever watchful of the public welfare, has funded a sonic study to ascertain if the alternative fuel can be made more acceptable by the application of earplugs.
