HEY, USA
Bumpers on SUV’s Go Lower To Avoid Other Driver’s Teeth
Good news for people who drive regular-size cars. SUV makers are finally lowering the bumpers to make them more crash-friendly to regular-size cars.
It seems like a more adroit design adjustment that raising the bumpers on regular cars to the top of the hood.
So now when the unfortunate moment happens that an SUV and a car occupy the same space at the same time, at least, there’s a chance that the driver of the car won’t eat the SUV bumper.
Of course, the behemoths will still weigh a bit more than a car, especially a compact, so we don’t recommend a crash test.
