Senator Reveals True Weapon of Mass Destruction Found In Iraq: Bad Judgment
During the debate on setting a deadline for troop withdrawal from Iraqi, Senator Santorum, R-Pennsylvania, showed himself to be resourceful in supporting the Republican opposition to the bill by revealing the U. S. has actually found over 500 weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.
While these were generally old and hardly dependable weapons, the resourcefulness of the Senator was apparent.
What he did not say is that the true weapon of mass destruction found in Iraq has turned out to be bad judgment.
While there have been innumerable instances of it on the U. S. side, they are, however, miniscule in comparison with the instances of bad judgment on the part of Iraqis – whether they are the Sunnis who blow up the Shiites, the Shiites who assassinate the Sunnis, or either warring religious segment who sets up roadside bombs and kills coalition troops.
One expects that they would notice that their actions undermine the peace and prosperity of their own nation and vitiate the credibility of their religion as an acceptable participant in the peaceful processes of civilized humankind.
Yet the insurgents just don’t seem to get it, and their bad judgment continues to quality them as the most numerous WMD’s that have yet to be discovered in Iraq – or that will likely ever be unearthed there.
